Off to Greece!!! =)

Yepz.. Am leaving for Greece in a short short while!!! Yay!!! *excited* haha... Everyone's who has been to Greece tells me it's a nice place.. VERY nice to be exact... so i'm really looking forward to seeeeeeeeeing it MYSELF!!! Hahaha..

Ok! Gtg and pack up the last min stuff for now.. I'll be back with all the pictures!!! Yeah! =)

Last day of Spring Term...

Yepz.. today's the last day of the Spring term (but it's not even Spring yet... -_-) and also... I had my last lecture in Imperial today... next term I only have revision classes... no lectures... n exams of course.. haha...

Anyway.. handed up my last project today... *phew* They're all finally done.. =) it's amazing how God's carried me thru this sem... amidst all my other activities as well as homesicknesses (get pretty bad at times).. providing friends to cheer me up (you all know who u are... thank you!!! *Hugz*)... and just making a way for me in every situation.. there were ups n downs this term.. but on the whole.. it's been a fruitful and enjoyable term... =)

Now I am just looking forward to Greece (26th Mar-3rd Apr) and Scotland (5th-10th Apr)... haha.. to Greece, for the beautiful scenary n landscape... nice beaches and relaxing atmosphere... n to Scotland.. not so much for the place itself but cuz I'll be able to meet and travel with my bestest best friend, Yiling!!!! Hahaha... SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!! Hehehe!!!

Right... shan't bore u all who are reading my blog liao... =) Be patient and wait for my pictures n updates when I get back!!! =) Yay!!! =)

Got another birthday parcel from my sister today!!! It was filled with lotsa cute little items.. haha... n I love them all.. haha... THANX ALOT JIE!!! =)

Anyway... this year all the stuff I've gotten from my family members are little not-too-expensive (they were afraid the stuff might get lost/damaged in the mail) things... but I think they are especially significant and precious cuz Mummy n Jie must have spent quite a while putting together a parcel each for me.. handpicking things they know I'd like... =) *touched* heh~!

So once again.. THANK YOU Daddy, Mummy and Jie!!! Love you all LOADZZZZZ... =) *Hugz*

Yepz... Mummy sent me a little birthday parcel early cuz she knows I'll be in Greece next week... Anyway I got it on wed... n yea.. there's just alot of small nice things in the parcel... my favourite being the earrings and little bear she sent!!! Yesh... my mummy actually chose nice earrings that I really like!!! I was telling her that 3 pairs of my earrings have somehow broke while I'm here n so she decided to send me a pair!! =) SOOOO sweet... hehe... n yesh.. those are photocopies of the birthday cheques from Mummy n Daddy.. haha... I think my parents are just so cute!!! Haha.. they actually thought of photocopying the cheques n sending them to me (the real ones will be banked into my account on my birthday!!! Hahaha...)

Anyway, I've finally completed all my projects and exams for this sem... now i'm left with 7 more modules' exams next term.. but that's next term.. so let me enjoy my easter hols first!!! So.. to start off my 'celebration'... I went for CU's Gals' night social at Olivia's.. it's was nice just chilling out n chatting w the other CU girls... =) esp when ur mind's not occupied w work n deadlines n all that.. haha...

But now.. I am gng to sleep cuz I just realised that I am SERIOUSLY tired!!! haha.. just thank God for seeing me thru this hectic sem!!!! =)

Yea.. I really do need one... had Roman Empire Exam today and I was so blur I did extra question!!! -_- O well.. anyway.. too bad it's over... should be able to get a C at the least I think la.. O well.. how DUH of me... sigh... haha.. last time when teachers tell us of how students do extra qns.. I always wonder how the person can do extra!!! Now i noe.. u rush a little and also.. have shorter answers to those qns u are REALLY SUPPOSED to do... hahahah...

But nvm.. thank God for peace during the ppr... sometimes (or rather v often) i tend to panick in exams... haha... so thank God that it was ok today.. n at least there were topics that I could answer. =) Yeah!! n thank God for a Mummy who's ever so supportive of me and always praying hard for me when I have exams... (and at all other times as well actually).. yepz.. gtg study for German now...

Oh before I go... it snowed again in London today... just when I thought that spring was officially in... the temp dipped again!!! -_- Now i want my warm weather leh... xian of wearing so many layers liao... O well.. freaky weather we have here.. heh~!

Finally... my countdown has decreased to a 2 digit number!!! =) Well.. but come to think of it.. time has flown by indeed and this term is coming to an end already... quite amazing.. so much has happened this term... so many activities and projects and now I'm left w the last week of this term... which is gonna be a xiong xiong week... 24@SG on sunday, Roman Empire Exam on Mon, German Oral on wed and German written exam on thurs and then.. somehow... i gotta get my gPROMS proj done by fri (there is practically no progress for this proj now.. been working on it for weeks!!! I don't like gPROMS!!! -_-).. o well.. but i am sooooooo looking forward to next weekend!!! relaxing n then prepare to go Greece!!! and then scotland!!! Yay!!! =)

But for now.. I'm off to study for Roman Empire exam.. *yawnz*

Stockholm...

Went to Stockholm (Sweden) over the weekend.. was quite a mad rush but got to see quite a lot.. and I must say... Stockholm is a really pretty place... =) The kind that u can just stare and soak it in... and the kind that no matter how many pics u take, u still keep finding new spots to take pics.. from different angles and spots.. the place is soooo picturisque... and the weather was perfect as well went.. the skies were clear n blue in the daytime... and it didn't really rain much... thank God too that the temp was not too low.. I super cannot tahan cold.. haha... apparently just a few days b4 we went it was below zero deg!!! But when we went it was up to 8deg? Hahaha... =)

Anyway.. we visited Old Town, the famous City Hall, the Parliament House, the Vasa Musuem... Yea... it was quite a cool place really... different from what I've seen in many other western countries.. it's just very unique... Anyway, yea... so here's some of the pics... =)

NUS Exchange Students Gathering... =)

Haven't updated my blog cuz i've been busy all of last week.. rushing my proj.. haha.. well.. it was finally completed last fri abt an hr b4 the deadline (not bad actually)... n then off I went for Artsoc Stockholm Weekend trip... =) am back now... tired but got to see alot...

Anyway, last monday I went to meet Lester and all the other NUS exchange students who are now studying in Loughborough University in Leicestershire... =) They are so fortunate.. got so many of them (5) in the same uni!!! n 4 of them in the same dept somemore!!! Me am the only chem eng exchange student in IC!!! O well.. but then again.. I am still having fun here w newly made friends.. hehe... =) Anyway, here's a pic of us... in Lianglong's place.. they were staying at his place.. n they cooked dinner... =)

Quite a spread actually.. and the food was well cooked.. n we had the Toffee Caramel meringue that I got from Sains.. hehe... super duper sweet but nice.. hehe...

Yea.. had a good time catching up w Lester.. hope to meet up w him n the rest again!!! This time I was so busy last weekend i only had time to meet them for a short dinner just b4 they went back!!! -_- o well.. at least we got to meet up.. haha... so thank God... =)

London Games... and some other stuff...

Went for London Games yesterday and played Netball.. it was held at Bacons College which is at Canada Water tube station area... ok.. so we lost 2 games and tied one but... nonetheless we had fun and we played our best... =) Actually I was kinda xian and lazy to go for the netball games before saturday cuz I had alot of other stuff on this sat that I had to miss for the London games... firstly I have 2 grps of friends visting from outside London this weekend and I wanted to spend sat catching up with them (but I still will.. either today or tmr!!!) and secondly there was a British Museum Tour on the Evidence for the Bible that I wanted to go too!!! But.. in the end I still enjoyed myself playing netball after not playing regularly in a LOOOOONG while... n also hanging out with the other netball girls... =) no regrets... except that I think I sprained my thumb and my ankle's acting up a little.. haha... I'm old alr.. -_- heh.. anyway, here's some pics of Canada water area and the netballers...

Yepz.. then after London games... I went back... (all the Tube lines to South Ken were down when I was travelling back so had to get out at Green Park to take a bus.. but there was like massive jams and buses were super full cuz everyone from the tube was trying to get towards south ken... missed like many many buses b4 finally managing to squeeze up one.. in times like these... I just learn to appreciate sg's transport sys... finally took abt 2hrs to get back to hall (it should have taken abt 30min only!!!)... then rushed down to Alvin and Eunice's place for a dinner and mahjong session (but I didn't play!!! Haha... I still dun wish to learn... haha)... it was just nice chilling out.. hehe.. relaxing and eating ALOT... Alvin's a really good cook.. heheh... =)

Oh.. just thought I'd add abit abt the theological debate "Is God a Delusion?" between the Christian Apologist, William Lane Craig, and Atheist, Prof Lewpert, last tues.. Well... I dunno why.. but I was a little disappointed by it actually... maybe cuz I felt that the atheist Prof wasn't really engaging the debate... n the 2 speakers were really arguing each others' points.. so as a result, there's not much depth to what they both said... and it hurt so bad when the Prof said... "what has God done in the last 2000 years? Nothing..." =( *Sigh* God has done soooooo much for us... I can testify to His daily presence with me... His love, mercy, guidance, care poured out on us all... the very fact that God is sustaining life on this earth is a VERY mighty act that He's been actively carrying out!!! Oh well... I pray that God will open their hearts to see and feel His awesome presence... He is so close... I believe He's constantly holding us in His loving arms... I really do!!!

Yea.. then on wed we went to the talk on 'Evidence for Christianity' by William Lane Craig also.. held at All Souls church.. He did give us a little more insight.. but the main points he gave was from the debate the day before (cuz he can't assume everyone was there for the debate) and he basically elaborated more la.. yepz.. not too bad.. I like the way He explained abt God's Sovereignty and fore knowledge vs our freewill... in short... it is something like "Just because someone knows you're gng to do something doesn't mean that He causes you to do it..." ok.. he explained it much better than me la.. I am not anywhere near his standard so I shall not attempt to give a lengthy explanation.. hehe...

Yepz.. ok.. longlong post liao... anyway, today I'm gng to visit Hwan Jing's church.. New Life BP (Yes!!! A BP church!!! =))... gotta leave pretty soon actually.. haha... so that's it for now.. =)

So many thoughts running through my head these days... so random and scattered... can't even gather them and get them organized... a weird feeling... a sense of unsettledness... dunno why... I'm not exactly unhappy... but somehow there's a lack of 'liveliness' in me... v stoned...

Deep down inside I know God is there for me... and I sense His peace (am v thankful for it... and it's perhaps why I am still functioning normally)... but then there seems to be an outer cloud of uncertainty... abt what? I simply can't put a finger to it... just pure weirdness... maybe I'm missing home too much... o well... guess this is just a passing phase... so I'll be fine...
