Another great week...

This week I saw it SNOWING!!! =) Yea... even though it was very brief (less than 5min?) and light... but still it was an answer from God... =) On tues night, I prayed (I was thinking to myself.. what a insignificant and puny prayer) that I would get to see snow in London cuz the temperature had suddenly dipped from last sun to mon... n then.. next morning I looked outta the window and there I saw SNOW!!! And it was quite a thick layer (by London's standards)... enough to build a snowman... I didn't build one but my friend did.. and there's a picture of it below... =) anyway, then on wed night... I was at cell and I just jokingly said my prayer request was to see it snow-ING... and then true enough it snowed on thursday morning.. haha... not pure coincidence!!! =) God answers prayer... and also... I had told Binghao that if I get to see it snow then I will go for the singsoc CNY dinner (cuz I was kinda undecided).. so now I don't have to be undecided now.. haha... =)


Yepz... the week had been hectic and tiring but it ended off a great way yesterday (if i consider Sunday as the first day of the week that is)!!! I went to watch Avenue Q and had retail therapy at Oxford Street yesterday!!! Yepz.. went to catch Avenue Q with Binghao.. it was really good.. it's a puppet musical in which the puppeteers themselves sing, act and move in sync with the puppets they are carrying!!! They are REALLY talented!!! And the main singers are really great.. cuz they can change voices to suit the different characters like immediately as they change from one puppet to another!!!! Only thing is that I don't condone many of the ideas it delivered... but I guess it is a rather real portrayal of the world today as well... played out in a very light hearted and comical way... maybe I'm being idealistic and rather conservative... But I guess knowing what is reality doesn't mean I have to condone it... =) Yea...

Yet another week has flown by... and it's the weekend once again... =) It was a busy and hectic week but also fulfilling I guess... had 9am-5pm from monday to fri (yesh.. including wednesday which is supposed to be half day!!!) but God has sustained me... =) I think the reason why I didn't feel that strained despite the long days was cuz of the Life week talks during my 1hour lunch breaks everyday except the tues one which i missed... had NO break at all that day!!! -_- haha... but yea.. the talks by Roger Carswell were really rejuvenating.. even as a Christian he opened my eyes to alot of things I never realised before... one of them was that although Jesus was crucified by mankind, He was not KILLED by them... it was Jesus Himself who gave up His life.. when He said "Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit" (Mark 23:46) Jesus IS God and man cannot kill Him.. He lovingly laid down His life for us on His own accord... His love for us is soooooooooo deep... it's just amazing... =)

Yeah... anyway, that was Life week... and during the week I went for 2 musicals!!! Les Mis on Mon and then the Excess Baggage Musical put up by the Singaporeans in London on Fri... Les Mis was really nice... it kinda reminded me of how our lives can be transformed when we receive Christ as well... and the love and mercy that the priest and subsequently, Jean Valjean showed is a small illustration of God's mercy on us... undeserving yet He pours out His love, mercy and grace on us... =) and for excess baggage, I haven't heard soooo much singlish played out on a stage b4.. hahaha... the singing was really good though... and I kinda liked the opening/closing song too.. very catchy... =)

Well well... yea... and oh yesh... over the week I also received a parcel from Allvina!!! =) Here's what she sent me!!! THANK YOU Allvina!!!!!!!! =) It's hanging on the notice board by my bed now... =)

Life Week!!!

Yepz... Life week is gonna be happening this week.. Mon-fri lunchtime... Basically talks held from 12-1pm or 1-2pm (repeat)... there'll be free lunch too.. so come along if any of you can.. it's at the Union Dining Hall... =) Yepz...

Busy... but thankful... =)

Been a while since i updated my blog... well... I've been rather busy I guess.. not as slack as last sem... but still I am enjoying myself... but missing my family and friends back in singapore quite a bit.. esp my mummy!!! But the busy-ness is making time fly by too... So I am thankful for that... but hai~... it was only the last Christmas hols that I realised how MUCH my mummy really loves and cares for me... my dad too la.. but he doesn't show as much.. he's not the very expressive type.. but whatever it is.. it took me 21years and 8months to realise that!!! -_- I am slow eh? But I thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful family... =)

Anyway... I've been rather busy cuz my Laboratory Coursework started on the first week and that means 3 hrs lab everyday... and extra lectures from 2 modules that were supposed to end last term were postponed to this first week... n they BOTH had 2 lectures each... one mod has 2hrs lectures n the other 3hrs!!! Which meant 10hrs of lecture from these 2 modules alone the past week!!! Plus other modules as well la.. but thank God the first week is over... but then my other coursework is starting tmr!!! that's another 3 hrs everyday for the next 4 weeks!!! Haha... but i thank God cuz i initially thought this 2nd coursework was lab too.. but apparently it's a proj, not lab!!! That's alot better cuz lab almost ALWAYS never go right... like the one i have been doing... the data just doesn't fit what it should!!! *Sigh* And I still got a few other projects to think abt... But nvm.. God WILL make a WAY!!!!! Cuz He is a faithful and is always there for us!!! =)

Anyway, i haven't been faithfully taking many pics since coming back... maybe also cuz I haven't been to many places since getting back... let's see.. only been to Portebello Market last saturday and watched The Phantom of the Opera on the tuesday that just past... and I only have one pic at Portebello... But anyway, Portebello was not as nice as Camden Town... I am soooo gng back to Camden Town again!!! So fun and interesting there!!! But gotta wait till after week 5 I guess... busy now... -_-

Ok.. that's abt it I guess... Gng to watch Les Miserable tmr... =) Maybe take more pics then... =)

Back in London

Yepz... so I'm back in London... and missing home quite a bit... especially my Mummy!!! O well... I don't believe it but I am actually counting down to gng back to sg!!! It's 170 days left now... haha... I feel silly... but I miss everyone at home... o well... but I will try my best to enjoy this half a year that God has given me to spend in London as well...

This Christmas holidays has been the BEST 2 weeks of my life EVER... =) Thanx to my family, relatives and friends in sg... you guys are the BEST!!! =) I guess being away from home really made me treasure my family more... MUCH more... and made me realise how much I love them!!! Been taking them for granted for a while before this... -_- but now I will not... at least by God's grace I pray I will continue to be grateful and thankful for them... =)

Cooool eh? =) And spot that starfish Patrick (from Sponge Bob Square Pants) at the corner of the pic in front of the bouquet of flowers! My sis gave that to me... haha... and it's here with me in London!!! It's so cute... Hehe...

Yepz... that's abt it for now... gtg and start doing work again... it's gonna be a hectic sem with all my lab reports and project but I know that God will see me through!!! =) And to my family and all my dears who keep me in prayer... THANK YOU!!!!! It means alot to me... =)
